The camera angles in Skins help to convey the stereotypical views of teenagers by emphasising the emotions and actions of characters in the scene. The reverse zoom birds eye view of the boy in the bed which opens the scene suggests that the boy could possibly be drugged, as the slow speed of the reverse zoom combined with the blank look on his face may be showing he is having hallucinogenic out of body experience. This conforms to the stereotypical view that teenagers are drug addicts, and so makes the audience already start to make judgements about the boy.
